Hi, I see you're using Internet Explorer

This website uses the newest set of web standards, which Microsoft unfortunately has not chosen to support so far. To best display my work, I have made the decision to not support Internet Explorer until it supports these standards.

To view this website, please use Firefox, Safari, or my personal favorite, Google Chrome. You will thank yourself, and the internet will thank you as well!

Sometimes I write things, sometimes I find them. Either way, they usually end up here.

404 – Page Not Found

June 7th, 2010 by Kyle Gracey

So a fun tradition I have become a part of at TBG is the 404 Page. When a user goes to a page that does not exist on the website, they will be taken to a randomly chosen 404 error page (For example, go to www.barbariangroup.com/bflksj and you will be taken to a different page every time). Each barbarian must create their own page to submit to the site. This was my submission:

It should go live soon and I will update with a link!

Hello NYC

May 28th, 2010 by Kyle Gracey

The first week in NYC has been awesome! I have been meeting people non-stop and just exploring everywhere I can.

I am surrounded by some incredibly talented people at TBG… like, no joke… scary talented. I’m working under flash and design guru Kevin Chan, as well as roomba-designer and kickball mastermind Ryan McManus, but I’ve gotten to know and work with a lot of other Barbarians as well. Not to mention I’ve already gotten my hands on some real work on real accounts.

Oh.. and I joined the kickball team. (more…)

Future Barbarian

April 10th, 2010 by Kyle Gracey

In my search for an internship this summer, I contacted a not-so-little place called The Barbarian Group with slim hopes of hearing anything back. To my surprise, they saw something they liked and brought me on as an intern this summer!

If you’re not familiar with the Barbarian Group I encourage you to check out their website (www.barbariangroup.com).  Barbarian is a digital services and creation company that does a little bit of everything. They’re probably most famous for the Subservient Chicken back around 2005, and since then the group has grown like crazy to become a very well respected interactive agency.

The Barbarian Group's first big hit.

The Subservient Chicken

So as for me, April 23rd I’ll be leaving my home of 20 years and taking on NYC for the summer. I’ll keep the blog updated with information on the trip!

“It’s gonna be awesome!”
